On June 27 , 2025 , The Spartanburg Garden Club Board of Directors welcomed Officers from National, Regional , State of SC , EPD District and Local Clubs of East Piedmont District . Donna Donnelly was invited as our own National Garden Club President who was installed in Beautiful May 2025 NGC Convention in Charleston ! Many of those invited served on her Original Convention Committee to plan the Full Convention !
Invitations also included the EPD Director Denie Crowder and EPD Assistant Director Beth Waddell who also played the Grand Piano with her “Musical Celebration “. All EPD Presidents were invited to attend this combined meeting for the “President’s Summer Meeting “ .

Upsy Daisy Garden Club was recognized as Celebrating the 53rd Anniversary .
SGCC and Upsy Daisy Garden Clubs won The East Piedmont District Yearbook Awards . SGCC Won for GCSC Yearbook Award . The Chairman for both of these Yearbooks was Mary Ann Kirby .
GCSC Presidential Citation was presented to Mary Ann Kirby by GCSC President David Stoudenmire at the State Convention Formal Banquet April 19 , 2025 .
Special Guests serving on the GCSC Board : Betty Wise Jackson who spoke about her Theme using Butterflies , VP Jan Burch who spoke about the two Conventions NGC and GCSC of which she did the lucrative Programs , 2025 along with Mary Ann Kirby , Linda Howle , SAR Director , Denie Crowder EPD Director , David Stoudenmire GCSC Advisor ., Autumne Kirby Relich from Down To Earth Garden Club Lexington , Ky . graciously served to do all the Beautiful “ 90 th SGCC Diamond “ Crystal Table Designs and placed all on the tables using “ Circus “ Yellow Roses .
New Members were encouraged to attend this meeting . A “Plant Exchange” and “ Silent Auction “ as well as door prizes added excitement and were presented by SGCC President Jane Zollinger .
