Campers proposed by Garden Club of South Carolina-affiliated clubs may be registered October 1 – 31, using the application link found in the Members section of the Garden Club of South Carolina website. The link will go live the morning of October 1.
Club members working with prospective first-year campers can log onto the GCSC Members section, copy the link, then forward it to the camper's parent or guardian. A parent or guardian is required to fill out the application, signing permissions, submitting proof of health insurance, and providing the sponsoring garden club's name.
The fee is $300. Clubs wishing to sponsor a camper should select a first-year camp prospect who will have completed the ninth grade by mid-June 2026.
Each year, federated GCSC garden clubs are challenged and invited to find the brightest conservation-minded students to attend Camp Wildwood.
This highly regarded Leadership and Environmental Camp provides an opportunity for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to study wildlife and acquire outdoor skills that are not taught elsewhere.
Together, The SC Department of Natural Resources, The SC Wildlife Federation, The Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund and The Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc., ensure the continued success of this camp.
